Charles Paxton Paret is a seasoned entrepreneur and strategic advisor. He comes to Glacier Equity Partners from a career spanning private equity, angel investing, textile manufacturing, historic architecture preservation, and property development.
An entrepreneur at heart who grew up in the Flathead Valley of western Montana and the suburbs of Washington, DC, Charles understands the importance of working and flourishing in diverse environments.
Charles began his career in manufacturing at a young age during the dot-com boom growing several companies that ultimately led him overseas, where he ran and operated several factories that produced for Theory and Tommy Hilfiger. Upon exiting his factory in China and returning to the U.S., Charles partnered with Peter Stuart, a tech entrepreneur in Washington DC and childhood friend, to form Paxton Stuart Ltd., a small private equity company that eventually led to the formation of Colma River Capital.
Charles has invested in several successful CPG companies, manufacturing facilities, and food and beverage brands. Some of those brands include RECESS, Wild Hare Cidery, Som Tam, Lucky Buns, The Good Reverend Kombucha, Dispense Tech Manufacturing, and PKT Pal.
Additionally, Charles has participated in more than 50 residential, multi-family and commercial real estate projects as a partner tasked with management of debt and equity relationships, as well as responsibility for acquisitions, contracts, and sales. Charles's construction/development company was awarded several grant and development projects from the Washington DC's Office of Historic Preservation and received several awards for their historic preservation projects.
Charles leads Glacier Equity Partners' family office LP relationships and serves as a strategic capital advisor.
Charles is fluent in English, Spanish, Mandarin, and French.
